Two Caymanian cricketers made impressive debuts for a semi-professional team in England over the weekend.
Ramon Sealy and Corey Cato were playing for Thornham in the Lancashire County League on Sunday.
Cato took three wickets along with three catches and Sealy made the team’s top score of 27 runs but they lost by seven runs to Cheetham Hill.
Sealy and Cato both turned 23 last week. They will be in action again this weekend in two matches.
Rickey Sealy, Ramon’s father, said, “They are settling in well and the team is pleased with the way they are acclimatizing.
“I warned them about the cold, wind and rain and the club provided jackets and sweaters and they are coping well.”
