Roma kick in again for Breeze Run

The popular Breeze Run is approaching and one of Cayman’s top footballers presented a check in sponsorship of the annual event.

Kiegel “Stamma” Atkinson, captain of Roma United, presented their $500 sponsorship check for the eighth annual Breeze Fusion Walk-Run, scheduled for Saturday Nov. 15. The 5k walk/run starts at 6.30 a.m. from Smith Cove.

The check was accepted by Radio Cayman’s Kathy Miller, while Roma’s president Robert “Bobby” Sairsingh and Radio Cayman’s Cheryl Thompson were also present.

The National Council for Voluntary Organisations and John Gray High School’s “Helping Hands Program” will benefit from proceeds this year.

Sponsors include Cayman National, Roma United Sports Club, Maedac Supply Company through their WATA brand and Grand Old House.

Event registration is $15 for adults, $10 for students under 16. The first 200 participants receive an event T-shirt and goodie bag.

Trophies go to the overall male and female finishers in the run, along with medals and prizes to the top competitors in each age category for both the run and walk, with random prizes also up for grabs.
