Yoga's widening appeal leads Otto to join Cayman Sports

So many iconic sportsmen and women do yoga, that for some it is as integral to their profession as running and gym sessions. Basketball aces LeBron James, Shaquille O’Neal and Kevin Garnett practice yoga and even the mighty New Zealand All Blacks introduced yoga to their training sessions when their form started dipping.

Yoga in the Cayman Islands is attracting more sports people than ever before, which is why Cayman Sports has added Maegan Otto to their team of trainers.

Otto specializes in yoga and personal training, as well as being an expert in nutritional advice and corporate wellness.

“We are very excited to have Maegan as the newest member of our fitness team,” said Cayman Sports owner Warren Urquhart. “Trainers who are multi-skilled are a fantastic asset to our company and Maegan is an extremely well rounded fitness professional with a wide range of skills.”

Otto said, “My love and passion for yoga and fitness began in university when my friends took me to my first yoga class and the gym.”

She was immediately hooked and found yoga and the gym transformed her life. “Not only did my body reap the benefits from yoga and exercise, but my mind did as well.” It led Otto to become an instructor and, once qualified, she worked in locations all over Canada.

“Helping others is now my passion. Everybody is different, but yoga and exercise is amazing for everyone.”
