Watch, play and celebrate the Games at Camana Bay with a series of events running throughout the two weeks of the Summer Olympics.

Fireworks show

It all starts Friday with an Opening Ceremony celebration at 5:30 p.m. Visitors can watch the events live on a giant outdoor movie screen with ample seating available. It’s easy to toast to your nation with a drink from any of the nearby bars, and you’ll catch a spectacular fireworks show at 9 p.m. with a one-of-a-kind display to commemorate the occasion.

Make sure to also keep an eye out for a festively sporty photo booth to snap complimentary photos for a souvenir.

Throughout the next two weeks, sports fans won’t miss a moment of what’s happening in Rio, thanks to KARoo and The King’s Head showing the events live every day.

Moviegoers can look forward to sports-themed Moonlight and Movies on Aug. 11 and 18 on The Crescent at 7 p.m. Enjoy dinner nearby at one of Camana Bay’s eateries or bring your own picnic essentials along to munch upon while you watch.

Sports Day

Kids ages 6 to 12 can gettin on the sports action on Aug. 13 from 2-5 p.m. with a complimentary sports day filled with exciting competitions. Events such as a cracker-eating competition and flipper race are on the schedule, and prizes include Olympic-branded T-shirts and water bottles.

Summer Games competition

Adults can also be a part of the experience with Anytime Fitness’ Summer Games. Members can change up their regular workout routine with a new challenge, happening Monday through Aug. 19.

During regular office hours, an Anytime Fitness staff member will advise participants of the activity for that day which will mimic a sport that’s happening at the Olympics. Each completed activity will earn them a point and the person with the most points at the end of the games will win a Camana Bay gift card.
