The Cayman Democratic Party has set its annual general meeting for Saturday, March 25, at the University College of the Cayman Islands campus.
The meeting will mark the formal start of the 2017 election campaign under the party’s theme “Tomorrow must be better than today.”
Private meetings will take place earlier in the day to address internal party matters, such as revamping the CDP youth group and grassroots get-out-the-vote efforts.
Later in the day, party leader and West Bay MLA McKeeva Bush is expected to introduce a partial list of candidates.
At the party conference, Mr. Bush will also address the audience on the CDP’s plan for Cayman’s economy, as well as plans for healthcare, education and elderly and indigent care.
The public meeting is set to begin at 6 p.m.
