JTC receives employer accreditation

Trisha George, assistant manager in JTC’s private client team in the BVI, receives the STEP employer certificates for Cayman and the BVI at the STEP Caribbean conference in Barbados in May.

Listed service provider JTC has been awarded a STEP Gold Employer Partner accreditation across ten of its jurisdictions, in recognition of the firm’s office culture.

The recognition reflects the strength of the policies, practices and structures that the firm has in place to support its growing international private wealth offering, and acknowledges the opportunities the firm provides to staff wishing to progress in their career, JTC said in a press release.

The “gold” status has been awarded to JTC in the Channel Islands and Isle of Man, BVI, Cayman Islands, Switzerland, USA, Malaysia, Singapore and New Zealand.

The STEP EPP, formerly known as the Employer Training Scheme, was introduced in November 2014 as a pilot accreditation scheme. The initiative enables the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners to support the professional development of its members, by providing a structured support program, online resources for professional development and networking opportunities.

“JTC depends on the professional capability of its employees and the success and growth of the business is directly linked to the investment made in professional qualifications,” said Wendy Holley, group chief operating officer. “The STEP Gold Employer Partner accreditation will allow enhancements to the personal development of many and we are incredibly proud to have been recognized for our efforts in attaining this accreditation.”
