The Miss Teen Pageant Committee is seeking contestants for its upcoming Miss Teen Cayman pageant.

Interested teens are invited to an informational session hosted by the committee at the Lions Centre on Tuesday, May 22, at 6-7 p.m.

Participation is open to entrants of Cayman descent between the ages of 15 and 18 who reside and attend school in Cayman, according to Pageant Deputy Chairwoman Elesha Graham.

At the session, committee members will explain applications and talk about what is required to become a Miss Teen applicant.

“Once we have all the applicants and the contestants chosen, there will be an orientation session hosted the first week in June to introduce each contestant to their ‘pageant sisters,’” Ms. Graham said.

The Miss Teen Pageant takes place Saturday, Aug. 25, at the Lions Centre.

Whoever is crowned Miss Teen will be invited to events such as the Agriculture Show and to speak at local schools. She will also make an appearance on Radio Cayman’s Youth Flex show, and will be expected to be very involved in the community in partnership with the Lions Club of Grand Cayman.

The new Miss Teen will take over from Kevie-Ann Peirre of Bodden Town, who was crowned Miss Teen Cayman Islands in 2017.

Anyone interested in applying can contact Elesha Graham on 926-3559.
