A motorbike rider who was photographed in an orange ski mask during last November’s “Ride of the Century” event around Grand Cayman is now facing a number of charges connected to the event.
The George Town man, age 26, was arrested on April 20 in relation to what police said was the “reckless riding” that happened during the event. Police did not release the name of the man.
He was charged Thursday with the following offenses: riding without insurance; using a motorcycle without a certificate of roadworthiness; using a vehicle required to be registered; dangerous driving; failing to comply with a lawful order by a constable; and riding without a helmet.
The suspect is due to appear in court June 18.
