The Cayman Islands Postal Service is warning residents to ignore a text message claiming to be about a promotion, with a Galaxy phone as the giveaway.

The message claims to be from the Postal Service and displays the service’s logo.

Officials said they have not sent any such message nor does the Postal Service have such an ongoing promotion.

The matter is being investigated.
