A 65-year-old woman who got into difficulties during a dive died on Tuesday morning, according to police.
The woman, who had been on a boat dive, had been brought back to shore, and emergency services responded to a report of a person in distress at the West Bay Dock shortly before 10am.
She was transported by ambulance to the Cayman Islands Hospital where she was subsequently pronounced dead.
The woman was a visitor from the US.
