Pop-up shop promotes handcrafted shoes

Entrepreneur Debra Edwards brings her DAE brand to Cayman

The sandals are handcrafted from repurposed materials.

This Saturday at Tips ‘N’ Toes in Bayshore Mall from 10am-6pm, shoppers can take advantage of a pop-up shop, courtesy of Jamaican boutique shoe company, DAE.
Debra Edwards, owner of the shoe brand, started the business in April 2019, after studying fashion design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. It began with simple sketches of sandals and grew into a going concern that now produces sought-after footwear created by hand.

Best of all, the shoes are made from repurposed materials, making them eco-friendly as well as flattering.

Each sandal is one-of-a-kind and designed with a devotion to tradition, the environment and the artisans who put the love into their creations. As a result, no two pairs are exactly the same, which means no red-carpet embarrassment.

The brand has become so popular in Jamaica that Edwards is looking to expand outside the island. No better way to test the waters than with a pop-up shop.

Choose between the De La Vega, Lady M or San Souci styles in black, white or vibrant colours and learn more about the DAE Collection, which has been generating some exciting buzz on social media.

Stop by Tips ‘N’ Toes this Saturday and see what your feet have been missing.
