The third annual BK Big Fish tournament has been postponed until next month as inclement weather is expected.
Cayman Islands Angling Club president Frank Thompson told the Cayman Compass, “The tournament was postponed due to the unfavourable weather forecast for this weekend. Because the safety of the participants is our main priority, the decision was taken to reschedule the event.”
However, the International Game Fish Association kids fishing clinic will take place as scheduled on Saturday and Sunday, from noon to 4pm, at the George Town Yacht Club. The clinic coincides with the Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation Family Fun Day on Saturday, which is also being held at the Yacht Club.
Organisers said the three-day tournament has been rescheduled for 3-5 April, and registration will take place on 1 April.
