International Management Services (IMS) held a hugely successful charity golf day recently, raising money for Meals on Wheels and Cayman Islands Crisis Centre.
The inaugural IMS Golf Classic took place at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, with 11 teams participating in the event.
A golfer from IMS was on each team, joining players from Grant Thornton, Walkers, PwC, KPMG, Ogier, Campbells, JTC Group, Appleby, Deloitte, Harneys, McGrath Tonner, BDO, RSM, Cary Olsen, Harneys, Nelsons, Policy Selection, and others.
“Huge thanks go out to everyone that took part,” said IMS Managing Director Gary Butler. “We were delighted to have so many friends of IMS attend our inaugural IMS Golf Classic. A lot of fun was had by all, and some excellent golf was on display over the course of the afternoon.”

The champions were the ‘Fore Amigos’ – Phil Cater, Tim Ludford-Thomas, Scott Jones and Serge Berube – who finished in first place. Mr. Cater also scooped the shot of the championship by sinking a ball from over 80 yards out.

Proceeds from the sale of mulligans and raffle tickets were split equally between the two beneficiary charities (chosen by the winning team).
With the IMS Golf Classic now firmly established as a charity sports fixture, Mr. Butler hopes to make it the best corporate golf event on the island.
“Our aim is to make it bigger and better every year, in order that we can continue to help local charities and good causes,” he said. “A big thank you to our sponsors, Tortuga, Jacques Scott, TRAC Automotive and also, of course, to The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, and to Silverlight, for helping us put the inaugural event together.”
IMS is one of the oldest licensed financial service providers in the Cayman Islands (first licensed in 1974) and has long been a pioneer in the world of offshore financial services. The company is now a leading provider of fund governance and fiduciary services in Cayman, providing independent directors to hedge funds and many of the largest international wealth management groups.
