McKeeva Bush hospitalised for tests

West Bay West MP McKeeva Bush.

Having felt unwell for a few weeks, McKeeva Bush was taken to Health City Cayman Islands Monday morning, to undergo “a series of tests”.

In a statement announcing the news, Bush noted that he had to miss the National Heroes Day celebration for the first time, adding, “Unfortunately, for the past few weeks I have not been feeling well but the health and care of my wife took priority.

“This morning I was taken to Health City and after a series of tests, the doctor extended my stay for observation. I am optimistic that I may be released later today.”

While hopeful that he would be discharged Monday, the West Bay West MP said, “I have been ordered to take two weeks of rest and as such will have very limited access to calls and visitors”.

In light of this situation, his office has cancelled all of his appointments.

“Hopefully, when I return to Health City later in the week, I will be given a clean bill of health and able to resume my service to the good people of West Bay and the wider Caymanian community,” he added, while encouraging everyone to take their health seriously.
