Cayman Cycling national team athlete, Michael Testori, kicked off his 2023 season in style with an overall victory at the 120-kilometre Al Wathba National Race in Abu Dhabi.

The competition was fierce, with a field of both former and current professional riders.
The course, set in the desert, featured rolling hills and four 30km laps. The race began at a fast pace, with numerous attacks from the start.

Testori made his move on the third lap and formed a breakaway with two other riders.

However, they were caught 20km later by a group of pros. Ultimately, it came down to a thrilling battle between Testori and two pros, who took turns attacking each other.

But Testori was up to the challenge, matching each attack and ultimately taking the victory in a sprint to the finish line.
