Cayman began experiencing heavy flooding Tuesday as a tropical weather system passed close to the island.
The airports have closed and schools remain closed with heavy rain and rough seas expected into tomorrow.
The islands are officially under a tropical storm warning.
Low-lying areas are inundated with water and motorists are advised to stay off the roads.

The system, referred to as potential tropical cyclone 9, is expected to develop into a hurricane as it moves away from Cayman towards the Gulf Coast of the US later this week.
