Local basketball players are gearing up for the Cayman Islands National Basketball Association Jr week, scheduled to begin next month.

The five-day camp, which runs from 13-17 Nov., at the Arts and Recreation Centre, will be action-filled, with training clinics and a 3×3 tournament, all focused on enhancing fundamental skills and core values of the game.

The event will feature both boys and girls as part of the ‘Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA week’, which is made possible through a partnership between Dart and the National Basketball Association.

“Dart believes in the power of youth sports to strengthen communities,” Dominic Ross, Dart’s asset and community portfolio manager said. “Teaming up with the NBA to offer training and competitions presents an exciting opportunity for local athletes to enhance their skills both on and off the court.”

With the support of the Cayman Islands Basketball Association, the event will also include a clinic for local Special Olympics athletes and coaches on Wednesday, 13 Nov., beginning at 5:30pm.
