So far so good

The daily skincare routine
taught to me by Sharron Eyers at Le Visage is not second nature yet.  I fell asleep and forgot about it on Friday
and then felt bad about my ‘dirty’ face.
Since then I have been consistent about my cleanse-tone-moisturise
routine.

I have not met Christine, the
fitness  instructor yet and have been
inside Anytime Fitness twice now with no bad side effects, so by the time
Christine and I meet, I might be able to step on to the treadmill.

Having watched
makeover shows like The Biggest Loser for some time now, I know I have some
things going in my favour.  Like we cook
a lot of our meals and I take lunch to work at least 4 days per week.  And we make our own multi grain breads…

However,
Helki Weber (intrepid nutritionist) took one look at the refrigerator and saw
trans fats where I saw yummy food.

Now I can speak the lingo and
can even spell ‘polyunsaturated’.  I do
not know the difference between mono or poly and if saturated is better than
unsaturated.  I stopped keeping track of
these things sometime around when high-fructose corn syrup became public enemy
#1 and soy went from being good for you to promoting cancer.

Then it was time for my pantry-
which failed miserably!  Jan (Observer
Editor) even cast her eyes over my condiments and spices.  You can take away the ketchup and mustard,
but don’t touch a Trini woman’s spices!!!

Tomorrow Helke will assess my
food intake records over three days,  I
hope she is sitting down

If anyone is considering taking this journey
with me, be prepared to give up a lot.
But also be prepared to gain a whole lot as well.
