This January, why not learn a new skill in a fun and relaxed atmosphere, while enjoying a delicious meal in the company of friends? Sounds too good to be true?

All you need do is sign up for a cooking class at the recently relocated Bon Vivant, in Camana Bay, and you can watch professional chefs demonstrate cooking techniques and correct use of equipment in their double demo kitchen. It’s up to you whether you choose to get involved in the cooking or simply sit back, sip on a glass of wine and enjoy the show. There is space for up to 16 people to observe and participate in the evening classes and a different menu is prepared each time.

The programme for the rest of the month is as follows:

January 17

Chef Lloyd Brown will teach guests how to prepare and cook fish, and then serve it with some delicious sauces. This will be followed off with instructions for making a lovely crème brulee dessert.

January 19

Chef Aaron Molloy from Karma will be teaching guests to make their own sushi and Harvey Setterfield will be on hand to pair the sushi with some great Champagnes.

January 25

Chef Lloyd Brown will be presenting an interactive pizza making evening where he will teach guests how to make their own dough, roll it and top with a variety of great ingredients. This will be finished off with an Italian dessert.

January 31

Chef Jan Juschtzak and his Pastry Chef Thais are scheduled to prepare some sweet items with some ideas for Valentine’s day.

Classes run from 6.30pm until 8.30pm and are limited to a maximum of 16 people. The cost for the classes is $50 (except for 19 January, the Sushi and Champagne class is $65.
