Defendant Robert Schultz remains in custody
Robert William Schultz, 39, appeared in Summary Court on Tuesday, when the theft charge against him was sent to the Grand Court.
The former customer relationship manager of the Chamber of Commerce Pension Plan is accused of stealing $294,570.30 from the pension plan between 25 February, 2008, and 26 September, 2011.
Crown Counsel Candia James handed up a bundle of statements on which the charge is based. Defence attorney Prathna Bodden, on behalf of colleague Ben Tonner, agreed there was sufficient evidence to put their client on trial before the Grand Court.
Chief Magistrate Nova Hall set the matter for mention in the higher court on Friday, 25 May.
No application was made for bail and Schultz remained in custody, as he has been since his first court appearance on 29 March.
