Apart from the Queen’s birthday, for which the date has yet to be confirmed, the public holiday schedule for 2013 has been released.
The months of January, May and December next year will have two holidays apiece celebrated in the Cayman Islands. Both New Year’s Day and National Heroes Day are January holidays, while December has Christmas and Boxing Day, both occurring midweek. In addition to Discovery Day on 20 May, Cayman has a public holiday for general elections on Wednesday, 22 May.
A list has been gazetted under an Elections Office notification as expected holidays.
