New American visa appointment system

As of 18 March, the United States Embassy in Jamaica will transition to a new visa appointment system for all US visas and DHL delivery services.

The new process will be easier and more convenient. Visa applicants will no longer pay for a personal identification number to schedule an appointment or pay a separate courier delivery fee. The visa application fee will remain the same.

Visa applicants who do not have an urgent need to travel are strongly encouraged to wait until 18 March or later to begin the process of scheduling an appointment.

All personal identification numbers will expire after 12 March. Customers who have already purchased a personal identification number to schedule an appointment must use that PIN no later than 12 March. To facilitate the system upgrade, there will be no scheduling of visa appointments by phone or online between 13 and 17 March.
