A youth cook-off featuring students from the Ministry of Tourism’s Tourism Apprentice Training Programme was among the premier events at the recent Cayman Islands Agricultural Show.
The students took part in a live cook-off competition judged by Cayman Islands Governor Duncan Taylor, Premier Juliana O’Connor-Connolly, A.L. Thompson, Roy Bodden, Joey Wood and corporate Mercer chef Chris Parker.
Event champions were Kimani Davis and Brittany Bodden along with their coach, chef Niven Patel from the Brasserie.
The second placed team included Carl Lewis, Ahmed Myles and chef Thomas Tennant from Michael’s Genuine.
Third place went to Monique Connolly, Rochelle Conolly-Rose and chef Maureen Cubbon, the 2013 winner of the Cayman Cookout’s Cayman-Cook-Off.
