The United Chinese Association of Florida’s annual celebration of harmony and diversity features boat races aplenty, decorated boats – expect dragons – kids’ activities, an eating contest and oodles of vendors at the lovely marina.
Sigur Rós

Sigur Rós are an extremely inventive and rightly popular Icelandic ambient/post-rock band from Reykjavík. Known for their ethereal sound, frontman Jónsi Birgisson’s falsetto vocals and the use of bowed guitar, the band’s music is also noticeable for its incorporation of classical and minimalist aesthetic elements.

The mega-dance event’s DJs are yet to be confirmed, but on this segment of the world tour so far, disc spinners have included Mr. White, Fedde Le Grand, Prok & Fitch, Sebastien Leger, Michael Woods, Nic Fanciulli, Sunnery James with Ryan Marciano and MC Gee, all there to get your feet itching with the beat.
Color Run Miami

A special 5k race wherein the runners are doused in different colors at the completion of each kilometer’s run. The finish line is a riot of more powdered kaleidoscopic hue as people of all ages celebrate health, happiness, community and individuality.

A change of pace as the 2013-14 Classical Chamber Music concert series begins. This first concert is billed as traditional classical with Latin flair. It’s free, too.
Eros Ramazzotti

One of the Italian and Spanish-speaking world’s legendary musicians, Ramazzotti, has released 11 albums, selling more than 55 million records over his 25-year career. He’s had duets with some major names, too, including Cher, Tina Turner, Andrea Pocelli, Joe Cocker, Luciano Pavarotti and Ricky Martin.
