Cayman Islands taxpayers spent $17,437.70 on a government trip in February to London for a conference on global corruption and an appearance by Premier Alden McLaughlin on the BBC HARDtalk program.
The premier also met with officials from the U.K. Foreign and Commonwealth Office and other key leaders in the British government.
The premier was joined on the Jan. 31 to Feb. 6 trip by Cabinet Secretary Samuel Rose and the premier’s Senior Political Advisor Roy Tatum.
Airfare for the three men totalled $8,048.59, per diem allowances totalled $3,300 and hotel expenses were $6,089.11, according to a statement released by government this week.
