A couple of football enthusiasts have come together to form the Cayman Christian Football League.
It’s a group of church football teams that will play each other competitively to develop lasting friendships and share their faith.
The league, which is sponsored by Futbolista World, Cayman’s only online football merchandise and apparel store, consists of four churches – Agape Family Worship Centre, Savannah United Church, New Testament Church of God and Church of God Chapel.
It is a mixed league and team members must be at least 15 years old to participate.
The first round of matches are on Tuesday evenings at the Agape Church football field from Nov. 10 to Dec. 15. Churches that miss the first round can participate in the second round, which starts in January 2016.
The league officially kicks off on Oct. 31 with a rally at the Agape Church football field from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Organizers are inviting the public to show their support and promise food, fun, fellowship and football.
