Comedian Paul Keens-Douglas for Cayfest

Harquail Theatre, 18 and 19 April

Some may remember the character he created named Tim Tim before they remember his name. But anyone who witnesses a Paul Keens-Douglas performance will remember the laughter that his talent brought them.

Comedian Paul Keens – Douglas brings his brand of comedy to the Harquail Theatre 18 and 19 April, at 8pm. Opening the show is the KRI Performing Arts Company with a cabaret act.

Hailing from Trinidad, Paul Keens-Douglas is an international performer, having performed at numerous venues in the US, UK and Europe. His material has a universal nature that allows people of many nationalities and ages to relate to his act. He also prides himself on having an entertaining but wholesome act. The performance at the Harquail is billed as ‘Let Me Tell You’.

Paul Keens-Douglas is a man of many talents. Besides being a performer he has authored nine volumes of work, produced 15 albums, three videos, 13 CDs and two DVDs. His work has been highlighted on the BBC, Canadian and American radio and television and throughout the Caribbean.

The characters that he has created such as Tanti at de Oval, Vibert, Timultaneous, Sugar George, and Dr. Ah-Ah have become an ingrained part of the Caribbean literary landscape.
