England are hoping to line up a
friendly with two-time World Cup winners Argentina next year.
It is hoped that a non-competitive
contest will pave the way for the South American heavyweights who are coached
by Diego Maradona to take part in a game to mark the 150th anniversary of the Football Association in 2013.
Rio Ferdinand will lead England.
