Stingray Awards celebrate tourism

The cream of Cayman’s tourism
industry will get its just rewards on Tuesday, 9 November at the Grand Cayman
Marriott Beach Resort.

The annual Stingray Awards, which
celebrate individuals who have displayed excellence in tourism, are open to all
member businesses of the Cayman Islands Tourism Association.

The programme recognises great
contributions to creating an extraordinary experience for guests. Those working
in hospitality and tourism are rightly seen as central to one of Cayman’s two
economic pillars, and the evening is designed to showcase and thank those who
are at the forefront of tourism.

Not only does this include the
face-to-face, front of house workers, but also includes awards for people who
work behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly in the tourism industry.

The Stingray Award categories are:
accommodation employee of the year; accommodation manager of the year;
watersports employee of the year; watersports manager of the year; restaurant
employee of the year; restaurant manager of the year; transportation employee
of the year; transportation manager of the year; allied employee of the year;
