Mooted new flights between Grand
Cayman, Kingston and Havana have been put in doubt following an objection.
In September, Air Turks &
Caicos had applied to operate the service on the routes which would be five
times weekly. However, an objection to the application was lodged by Cayman
Airways, Ltd.
Air Turks & Caicos said it was
subsequently required to provide further information.
“At this time, we feel it would not
be appropriate for Cayman Airways Limited to comment on any specific
applications that the Air
Transport Licensing Authority may be reviewing,” said
manager of marketing and corporate communications, Olivia Scott Ramirez.
Air Turks & Caicos plans to offer new flights between Cayman and its neighbours are being blocked by Cayman Airways.
