Houston charter enjoys Brac visit

A party of 79 Houston engineers visited
Cayman Brac on a special charter flight last week.

The trip was
organised by Clint Davis of Mesa Engineering as a thank you following the
successful completion of a major project in Texas.

“Cayman Brac
was an obvious choice for our group because it was extremely accessible from Houston.

“We
participated in island tours, fishing trips and rock climbing, to name a few,
and they [had] having a fabulous time. We also enjoyed the guided sky tours we
had with the astronomer in the group. The bird watchers had a great time with
another member of our group, an ornithologist from the University of Oklahoma,
who documented 35 species of birds. The Brac is absolutely beautiful,” said Mr.
Davis.

Grand Cayman
station manager for the carrier, Phillip Ebanks, travelled to Gerrard-Smith International
Airport in order to help.
Jeremy Jackson of the Cayman Islands Airports Authority said that they were
delighted that the group had chosen to go to the Brac and looked forward to working
with other airlines considering a similar charter.
