The Ritz-Carlton hosted the first ever Luna Lounge event last Saturday evening, aound the resort’s dolled up North Sound pool.
The chic soiree saw DJ Alexi – a popular mainstay in the local music scene – spin an eclectic mix of chilled out samba, afro-jazz, cultured world beats and elegant beach house, ensuring guests were kept bopping throughout the night. Guitarist Rob Matusek, accompanied the DJ, adding an additional frisson to the night’s musical entertainment.
Guests, honouring the event’s ‘beach sexy’ dress code, mingled round the delicately lit poolside, relaxing on luxurious oversized loungers under Bedouin tents. The atmosphere was reminiscent of Miami’s fashionable poolside lounge scene, with a tropical Cayman spin.
At the bar, staff were on hand to mix a selection of decadent cocktails, with specials on Moet et Chandon champagne.
Thanks to its success, organisers Monster Media – owners of Spin FM – hope Luna Lounge will become a regular event on Cayman’s entertainment calendar.
‘We are thrilled with the outcome of Luna Lounge,’ said Searlina Bodden, creative director of Monster Media.
‘We encourage Spin FM listeners to stay tuned for more exciting and exclusive events.’
