A teenager charged after an incident at the University College of the Cayman Islands last week is to be dealt with in Grand Court, Crown Counsel Richard Hearnden said on Monday.
The defendant, 17, is charged with assault causing grievous bodily harm to another male at the school on 10 September.
No details of injury were given.
Mr. Hearnden did not oppose bail and Magistrate Nova Hall granted it with conditions.
The defendant is to reside at a particular address and observe a curfew. He is not to go to UCCI or contact any prosecution witnesses.
Defence Attorney Lloyd Samson asked for a preliminary inquiry on 24 October, with a review on 10 October.
If the matter proceeds as scheduled, it would be before the Grand Court at the next opening, on Wednesday, 7 November.
