Butterfield awards cruise

To commemorate Butterfield Online’s 5th Anniversary, Butterfield Bank (Cayman) Limited recently gave away an Eastern Caribbean cruise for two to Mr. Neil Cox.

‘I’m delighted to be the winner of the online banking prize,’ said Mr. Cox. ‘Having used Butterfield’s online banking since its inception, both for business and personal accounts, I’m a believer in the system’s efficiency in terms of user-friendliness, timeliness and privacy. It has been particularly useful to review accounts from, say, Australia, when travelling, or to obtain a second ‘approval’ online when authorized signatories have been thousands of miles apart. My wife Marion and I are excited to be planning a Caribbean cruise.’

The contest was open to all Butterfield Online users and ran from 1 June to 31 July. To be eligible to win, users needed to log in to the service at least once during the contest period, states a press release.

‘This is an exciting time for us as Butterfield Online reaches another milestone,” said Franklin Thompson, Butterfield Bank’s Electronic Banking Manager. “To date, we have over 16,000 users utilizing this service both locally and abroad. We are continuously reviewing the product and adding new features and services so that we continue to provide a modern and efficient solution for our clients.”

Butterfield Online was the first real-time online banking service in the Cayman Islands, launched in May 2001. The service offers ease and convenience to its users who can check their balances on accounts, review transaction history and complete internal transfers. They can also order bank drafts, fixed deposits and wire transfers, pay their utility bills and so much more.
