The Cayman Rugby Angels will be opening their newly purchased playground at the South Sound Rugby Facility this Saturday at 9am to co inside with the PriceWaterhouseCoopers youth tournament.
The facility is now complete with fence and sand and is open to the public.
Big thanks go to Noahs Ark for the play equipment, South Sound Construction for the fencing and Massive for temporary fencing.
The Cayman Angels was formed by former National Captain, Campbell Law after Hurricane Ivan in order to assist the Union to rebuild much needed recreational areas around the facility that the Union simply did not have funds to cover. This marks their first completed project and has already seen good usage on a daily basis. The Angels all have standing orders for $50 a month which go into a trust each month. All Angels vote on which projects to support.
The playground will offer the many hundreds of children and families that participate in Rugby programs a chance to play in a safe environment where the adults can sit and watch in comfortable surroundings and with full facilities available as well as the general public.
The official opening ceremonies will be at 9am at the conclusion of the U4, U6 and U8 tournament play.
