Cingular lowers rates

Cingular has announced the lowest long-distance rates to the US and Canada.

The company is making the US and Canada even more accessible by further lowering rates to these countries during the day, night and weekend, making Cingular the lowest-priced provider to these destinations, accoding to a press release.

Cingular customers can call the US and Canada for 24 cents per minute on the weekend, 29 cents per minute at night and 34 cents during the day.

Cingular customers receive these rates automatically when calling any number without having to sign up, pay a monthly fee or dial any special numbers or prefixes.

‘This rate reduction to the USA and Canada is great news for many residents and especially businesses’, said Raul Nicholson-Coe, General Manager, Cingular Cayman. ‘Not only do we have the lowest weekend-calling rates so that our customers can keep in touch with friends and family, but we also have the lowest daytime rates which provides savings for local businesses as well.

‘Cingular is the only mobile provider in the Cayman Islands that does not charge its customers extra to call another local mobile-operator’s customers which represents additional savings,’ he said.

Cingular offers a complete line-up of prepaid and postpaid services, business plans, family plans, international roaming on prepaid and postpaid, international calling, and wireless Internet and e-mail solutions including the popular Blackberry and Treo 650.
