Of the nearly 5,000 hotel, condo and guesthouse rooms available before Hurricane Ivan, 1,944 rooms are open to tourists on all three Cayman Islands.
Of these 1,944 rooms, 1,552 are on Grand Cayman, according to figures from the Department of Tourism.
Projections include about 2,200 rooms being available in the Cayman Islands by the end of June, and nearly 3,000 by September, roughly 59 per cent of the pre-Ivan room stock.
By November, it is hoped that 70 per cent of pre-Ivan room stock will be open.
However, DoT is quick to point out that these are projections , warning that many things can slow re-openings such as construction delays.
Newly back on stream is the Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort, with 91 of its 305 rooms open. The hotel anticipates that by August all rooms will be on-stream.
The Grand Caymanian Resort has recently opened 33 out of 93 rooms tourists and is gradually re-opening the rest.
Sunshine Suites will come on-stream in the next few months.
It is also anticipated that many of the condominiums will be ready for tourists in the next three months to four months.
Occupancy rates are not yet available from the DoT, but will be made public shortly.
