CN boosts recovery

The Cayman Islands National Recovery Fund recently got a boost thanks to a donation from Cayman National.

‘We are absolutely delighted that Cayman National has made such a generous contribution to the recovery effort,’ said Dr. Mark Laskin, Executive Director of the NRF.

‘It continues to show the strong support within the business community for the ongoing effort of getting all segments of Cayman’s population back on their feet.’

Dr. Laskin noted in a press release that Cayman National has been one of the strongest supporters of the NRF since its inception.

‘Not only are they a corporate trustee, but they also handle all of the NRF’s financial management. They’ve already been extremely generous in the time and effort its staff has volunteered and this financial donation is a welcome reminder of that strong continuing support.’

Cayman National President and Chief Executive Stuart Dack said they are committed to helping with the recovery efforts.

‘We are more than happy to donate funds as well as our time, skills and effort to ensure we continue to rebuild Cayman,’ he said.

Cayman National’s ongoing support has included major sponsorship of the ’36 Hours in September’ documentary and the Flowers ‘Live Free’ programme. Management and staff have also volunteered their time and skills to help with many activities such as the Telethon, which raised $2 million as well as administrative tasks and the supply of office equipment.
