Cayman National Bank has appointed Caymanian McFarlane Conolly as the new senior vice president of Service Delivery.
Mr. Conolly, well known as Mac, is extremely well suited for the job explains CNB President Ormond Williams.
‘Not only does he have extensive banking experience, but his cheerful disposition and warm personality are perfect for this service-oriented position,’ Mr. Williams said.
‘Mac has always been a very driven, loyal and dedicated team member, not to mention popular. His colleagues and staff are extremely fond of him.’
Mr. Conolly said he is proud to be part of the CNB family.
‘I like the fact that our head office is here so we’re close enough to the action to have an impact on what CNB will become as it grows,’ he said.
‘Assuming this role will bring greater responsibility, but I’ve never turned down a challenge. I trust I’ll be able to move us significantly closer to ‘Knock Your Socks Off Service”.
Next month, Mr Conolly will celebrate a diverse and fruitful 21-year career with CNB.
‘It was November of 1984,’ he recalled. ‘I joined CNB and in less than two months I was managing the Cayman Brac branch. That was a great experience. Then I returned to the main branch two years later to work as a Loan Officer. In 1988 I opened the Galleria branch and four years later moved to the Audit department.’
Subsequently he became manager of Debt Collection Unit and then established the Accounting Department.
‘In March of ’99 I took on the position of personnel development where I remained until last month when I assumed the present role.’
Prior to joining CNB, Mr Conolly entered the world of banking working in both commercial and offshore banks for 12 years. A devout Christian, Mr Conolly is proud of his two children and his two beautiful grandkids – Kristina and Kashana.
‘When I grow up I want to be able to look back and be proud of the life I’ve lived and to be prepared, willing and ready to move on to the hereafter,’ he said.
