Artist believes works were stolen

I am writing this letter to express my concern over the arts and craft project that has caused such controversy over the past few months and I would like to have this article published in the Caymanian Compass.

I am one of the artists of the Cayman Islands. I used to sell arts and crafts to one of the entities of the Cayman Islands Government. I contacted a member of the Government in attempts to show them an arts and craft project that I had made out of Silver Thatch rope. I wanted to show them this project because at the time I had a physical and financial problem and hoped to gain some finances in order to help me get medical attention.

I completed the arts and crafts project and brought it to the individual in the Government office. I took a piece out of my bag and showed it to her. I specifically told her that I wanted her to sell this idea and to put a patent on it for me. I also told her that if she could not complete these tasks expressly as I had mentioned that I would destroy the artwork and would not present it again until I was able to deal with it the way I wanted to.

After viewing the first piece of the rope project, she stood up in her seat and told me that I don’t know what I have here or what I have done for this country! I told her that I knew what I did I have made history by producing this product.

She told me she was going to show this to the representative and get me some money to see a lawyer and also that I may receive some medical attention. After which I proceeded to take out the rest of the arts and craft project and give it to her. She said she was going to take care of the project and that I would have to see her again later on. I went to see her a week later and I was told that she was not there.

I saw her about three weeks later and she told me that she wanted to pay me for the idea but she was told not to pay me for any of the artwork or proceeds from it. That arts and craft project was my masterpiece and I had the dream of completing it from I was a child.

Less than a month after I gave her the arts and craft project I was laying inside of my bed sleeping and all of a sudden I felt an object hit me in my head. What really happened was that I made history and they used principalities and it came through my window and tried to kill me.

I came to understand that millions of dollars were made from the arts and craft project and the government officials have used that money for their own personal use.

They don’t want to give me what is due to me. They have tried to pay people in my community some of that same money that was made from the arts and craft project to kill me so they could keep the money and share between their family.

After giving them the arts and craft project it has made my life a living hell. They have turned everyone in my community and they wouldn’t want me to have more money than anyone else.

There is an arts and craft conspiracy to kill me.

  1. So is there an attorney out there with enough dignity to voluntarily free of charge or get her some legal aide. Can you please get this lady some justice please.Make sure she gets her work properly trademarked. locally and internationally. They maybe using her work on the international market.
Cayman is filled with thieves someone working for government must be exposed, fired, and the public needs to know which minister or permanent secretary was dirty enough to do such a nasty thing to this poor helpless lady in need. They took direct advantage of her.
Someone please help her and we want to see this one in court. How many more people are out there that are being taken advantage of by civil servants seeking to help themselves on the backs of poor people abusing their office.
