Carlos Duffis

Carlos Duffis: I think it is good for Cayman but as the same time it is work the people need, it is not rollover. You don’t have work; rollover still does not have anything to do with it. If the boss says he is closing down we still have to go. They have to protect the nation in some way and if that is the way to go then they will have to do it.

Carolyn Rowe

Carolyn Row: I think the rollover policy suspension is a good thing. I hope they will forget about it completely. Businesses suffer when good workers have to leave the island to come back.

Horace Walters: I have not given it much thought sometimes it works and sometimes it does not.

Christiana McLean

Christiana McLean: I don’t see it making a significant difference giving a two-year break. Most people that I know have been rolled over come back to the island and received the same jobs they had. I thought the whole reason for the rollover policy was to enable Caymanians to get jobs but it is not working so I don’t think it would really make that much of a difference if they suspend it or not. The whole point for it being into affect is not working.

Fentine Powell

Fentine Powell: I think they should suspend the rollover policy because they need more people on the island for the businesses. In my field I have a lot of customers left for home which makes the business suffer.

Larry Maxwell

Larry Maxwell: It will be better for business because sometimes businesses have good workers. It is harder to replace those workers. It is also good for the country’s economy.

Mallary Smith

Mallary Smith: I don’t follow up these things because the way government is they do what they want to do and I would not say if they should or should not suspend it. They can cut down the time because everyone looking a little living.
