On Friday evening, 28th October, the West Bay Heritage Village came alive with the crowning of West Hay Heritage Queen 2011.
Eziethamae Bodden was the Mistress of Ceremony and opened with prayer, then contestants Tiffany Conolly and Breana Welds took centre stage with music provided by DJ Archibold McGaw.
Both young ladies introduced themselves to a very cheerful audience followed by each performing songs for their talent, we’re told.
At the end of the evening Tiffany Conolly was crowned West Bay Heritage Queen 2011 by Shemika Gooding, West Bay Heritage Queen 2010, who was congratulated for going on to win the 2010 Festival Queen crown. Tiffany will now compete for 2011 Pirates Costume Contest on 10th November, 2011
Miss Breana Welds will compete in the 2011 Pirates Costume Contest on 11th November, 2011.
West Bay Heritage Committee said it wished to thank both young ladies for participating and wish them all in the best.
“Thanks to the representatives from SaxonMG – major sponsor for Pirates Week 2011, West Bay Heritage Committee members, JGMC Youth Group, the wider Audience for attending,” said Ms Bodden.
