Fractional ownership conference announced

Ragatz Associates has announced its 12th annual conference will take place in Arizona on 12-13 March, 2012.

The event is at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort and Spa, said a spokesman for Ragatz.

“Contrary to popular opinion, the fractional interest industry is not dead. Sales are still being made; new projects are opening; and consumer interest in the concept remains high. “However, the industry does face several challenges: continuing uncertainty about our nation’s economic and political environment; no consumer financing; excessive inventory of whole-ownership resort homes; and perhaps most importantly, a lack of understanding about ever-changing societal values and consumer decision-making processes. The latter issues tremendously impact the design of the most appropriate product, marketing channels, sales messages, and so on.”

The focus of the conference is on four main topics: re-positioning and re-launching of existing fractional interest projects that may be foundering; creating the optimum fractional interest offering for new start-ups; breakthroughs in marketing and selling; how best to attract new consumers and make the sale.

The conference also features a golf tournament, Native American dances, a pitch and putt contest with proceeds given to charity, gondola rides and extracurricular activities.
