LeBron fails Final

The 2011 National Basketball Association Finals was a test for LeBron James.

No matter how you spin it, the truth is LeBron failed the exam. It could be argued he fluked it. James was on the losing end on basketball’s biggest stage again as his Miami Heat dropped game six 105-95 and in turn lost the series 4-2 to the Dallas Mavericks.

James insists he is not bothered by public criticism of his play.

“I mean, sometimes you got it, sometimes you don’t,” James said. “It absolutely does not bother me that so many people were happy to see me fail. Because at the end of the day, all the people that was rooting on me to fail, at the end of the day they have to wake up and have the same life that they had before. They have the same personal problems as before.

“The Greater Man upstairs know when it’s my time. Right now isn’t the time.”

For all of the positives James displayed (namely game five’s triple double), the fact is he disappeared in the fourth quarter. He had nine points in the final period through the first three games of the series. He scored only two points in the pivotal game five loss and had only eight points in the entire match for game six.
