DMS Management, a fund governance firm serving the hedge fund industry, presented the Fund of Hedge Funds Newcomer Award at the fifth annual HFMWeek’s European Hedge Fund Services Awards.
The industry event that aims to recognise companies that have outperformed their peers was hosted on 26 May at London’s Hurlingham Club.
Ronan Guilfoyle, a DMS managing director, presented the award to Roger Hilty, portfolio manager and research analyst for Swiss-based LGT Capital Partners, recognised in the Fund of Hedge Funds Newcomer category for the Crown Managed Futures Gold Share Class fund.
LGT Capital Partners outperformed six other shortlisted firms to capture the award, including Aberdeen Novus Global Special Situations, Culross Long Term Alpha SP, Merrant Alpha Select, Morgan Stanley AIP Distressed Fund, Opus Trading Fund SPC and Quaesta Capital FX-MMP 2XL.
“Representing the very finest in the industry, these shortlisted firms have demonstrated remarkable achievements during unstable times and DMS is honoured to be a part of delivering the recognition they deserve,” said Mr. Guilfoyle.
Joining Mr. Guilfoyle at the event from DMS Ireland were Managing Director Don Ebanks and Director Derek Delaney.
