Recent contributions have boosted the Little Man’s Million campaign to help finish the new Pines Retirement Building.
The Girls Brigade raised $800 at their Christmas Carol Service, and a Pink Lady donated $1,000 from a garage sale. The Pink Ladies Volunteer Corp. then matched that amount.
Other small donations have brought the total raised to date to approximately $3,000, according to a press release from The Pines.
A logo created by Gordon Solomon was designed to mark progress on the Little Man’s Million campaign.
The Pines says the campaign is an urgent appeal to raise $1 million so that the board can approve the commencement of Phase 2 to complete the building.
The appeal is to everyone to make a donation to this project, as anyone may need these facilities one day, The Pines said in a press release.
Donations may be made to The Pines Retirement Home.
