Police arrested Errington Albert Webster, 54, Sunday on suspicion of indecent assault and gross indecency with a minor in connection with a videotaped incident that was distributed last week on social media.
Police did not name Webster, but Cayman Compass sources confirmed the former Bodden Town political candidate and 30-year fire service veteran was the man arrested.
Officers arrested Webster at the Cayman Islands Hospital Sunday evening and a Compass reporter saw police lead him out of the hospital.
Earlier, police said they arrested a 32-year-old man in connection with an assault on Webster Thursday afternoon outside his Bodden Town home.
