The Cayman Catboat Club will hold its annual David Foster Memorial Race Saturday.
Catboat captains will take their iconic blue and white boats onto the water from a launching site in West Bay.
The race is held in memory of David Wade Foster, a founder of the Cayman Maritime Heritage Foundation and a staunch supporter of the Cayman Catboat Club, who passed away in 2005.
The boats are scheduled to launch from the dock ramp at Garvin Park at 9 a.m.
A captains’ meeting will follow at 10 a.m. and the race is set to begin around 10:30 a.m. The dock ramp is situated off Garvin Road, past Dolphin Cove.
