Last week, iguana cullers removed 18,172 of the invasive reptiles, bringing the total number killed since the start of the cull in October last year to 925,544.
The weekly cull numbers, which had dwindled over the summer months, are the highest they have been since June, according to the latest Department of Environment statistics.
Cullers are being paid $4.50 a head, rising to $5 if they meet monthly and annual targets, in an effort to wipe out the invasive species in Grand Cayman.
