They were transported to George Town Hospital by ambulance with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Initial reports show that the vehicle was travelling eastbound along Shamrock Road from George Town direction towards Savannah, the statement said.

On reaching the vicinity of Tuckerman Lane, police said the driver appeared to have lost control of the vehicle, causing it to drift to the right side of the road.

The vehicle then collided into a retaining wall on the right side of the road and spun before coming to a stop.

The matter is being investigated by the police, and anyone with information is encouraged to call the Traffic and Roads Policing Unit at 649-6254 or the Bodden Town Police Station 947-2220.
